In celebration of World Asthma Day on May 2, 2023, the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) is calling on the international respiratory communities to collaborate with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues to help bring effective asthma management programmes to all resource countries by establishing “Asthma Care for All”.

The health agency revealed this on its official website, noting that most of the suffering and death caused by asthma takes place in low and middle-income countries.

GINA is attempting to lessen the weight of this issue by motivating healthcare administrators to make sure there is availability and access to high quality, reliable medications.

GINA is devoted to fortifying its relationship with local and national guideline creators. Additionally, GINA pledges to provide precise proposals for environmental sustainability, giving prominence to patient safety while concurrently voicing worries about global health.

GINA is striving to enhance the quality of life for asthmatics all around the world, and it is essential to coordinate efforts across all aspects of asthma management for both sufferers and the environment. We are just as concerned about our planet as we are about those living with asthma.

World Asthma Day (WAD), which is held annually in May, is a global event organised by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) – a collaborative organisation of the World Health Organisation (WHO) which was established in 1993. The purpose of WAD is to increase awareness about asthma all over the world.
