APIN Donates N128 Million for Pharmacy Tower Project

The Association of Pharmaceutical Importers of Nigeria, APIN, has presented a certified cheque of the sum of one hundred and twenty-eight million naira to the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, as part of its contribution towards the actualisation of the PSN Pharmacy Tower project.

The certified cheque of 128 million naira which is a debenture meant for the proposed Pharmacy Tower, was presented to the President of the PSN, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa by the President of APIN, Pharm. Nnamdi Obi, during a brief meeting at the Pharmacy House on Monday in Lagos.

According to a release from the office of the APIN President, the following is a breakdown of contributors who raised the debenture loan for the Pharmacy Tower project:Embassy Pharma and Chem. Ltd – N21,000,000 (twenty-one million naira); Elbe Pharma Nig. Ltd -N21,000,000 (twenty-one million naira); Greenlife Pharmaceutical Ltd -N21,000,000 (twenty-one million naira); Goldmoore International Ltd. -N21,000,000 (twenty-one million naira); Geneith Pharmaceuticald- N21,000,000 (twenty-one million naira);Chief Clifford Esomonu N2,500,000 (two million and five hundred thousand); and Vixa Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. – N21,000,000 (twenty-one million naira).

It would be recalled that the President of the PSN had said that the proposed Pharmacy Tower was already a mission accomplished going by the level of zeal and determination the leadership of the apex pharmaceutical body was applying towards the full actualization of the project.

Mazi made the remarks during the official contract signing ceremony with project partners on 9 September, 2020 at the same venue.

Appreciating Pharm. Obi, who is also the CEO of Embassy Pharmaceuticals, for the huge loan granted by the group towards the Pharmacy Tower project, the duo of Ohuabunwa and Dr John Nwaiwu, managing director, JB Pharmaceuticals, who is also chairman, Pharmacy Tower Committee, urged other pharmaceutical groups to emulate the good example of APIN in making the project a reality.
