BREAKING: Cyril Usifoh Emerges New PSN President

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has elected Prof. Cyril Usifoh, as its new president.

Usifoh emerged winner at the elections held at the Civil Centre, Venue of the 94th Annual National Conference of the PSN in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Announcing the elections results early hours of Saturday, the outgoing PSN President, Pharm. (Mazi) Sam Ohuabunwa, said Usifoh edged out the three other contenders, polling a total of 855 votes, while Dr Lolu Ojo came second with 552 votes, Pharm. Tanko Ayuba polled 273 votes to secure third position, and Dr Daniel Orumwense polled 91 votes.

Also, Pharm. Binji Haliya Ibrahim won Deputy National President North with 799 votes, defeating Pharm. Tijani Yahaya Hamza who polled 567 votes and Pharm. Sani Bello who had 365 votes.

Similarly, Dr Egbuna Udeorah, has been elected Deputy National President South,  after securing a total of 772 votes to defeat Pharm. Chima Ogbu, who had 670 votes and  Agbojo Olukemi who scored 311 votes.

Pharm. Ikenna Chibueze Mbata, emerged the Assistant National Secretary, with 954 votes to beat his opponent Pharm. Ehitare Patrick Omoarebu with 790 votes.

For the unofficial members, Pharm. Obianuju Onwuatuegwu and Pharm. (Dr) Kingsley Amibor, cleared the two available slots with 974 votes and 658 votes respectively. While other aspirants of Pharm. Bolajoko Ajoke Aina and Pharm. Boyle Daba, had 598 votes and 355 votes respectively.
