Chamber of Pharmacy Holds 2020 Ghana Pharma Expo

As a means of providing opportunity for stakeholders to display and explore the business potentials of Central and West African Pharmaceutical markets, Chamber of Pharmacy, in collaboration with XODUS Communications Limited, is scheduled to hold the annual Ghana Pharmaceutical Expo (GHAPHARM EXPO), from 25 to 27 March, 2020 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra, Ghana.

The GHAPHARM EXPO 2020, which is billed to be the biggest international pharmaceutical manufacturing exhibition in Ghana, is expected to attract about 100 exhibiting companies from different countries and over 300 overseas business visitors from all over the world, as well as related sectors’ trade professionals from across the region.

According to a statement signed by Anthony K. Ameka, chief executive officer, Chamber of Pharmacy,  the event aims to bring together government agencies, pharmaceutical companies, procurement officers from various hospitals, pharmaceuticals exporters/importers, chief executive officers, researchers, regulatory officers/bodies, bio-equipment suppliers and distributors, senior managers from pharmaceutical industry, pharmacists and biotechnology specialists to meet and engage with the local pharmaceutical manufacturers and other stakeholders.

Ameka further stated that this year’s event seeks to encourage increased development of local manufacturing and production of high quality, safe and affordable medicines.

He added that the exhibition will not only benefit businesses within Ghana but also across the entire Central and West African pharmaceutical markets.

The Chamber of Pharmacy CEO also said that the two-day exhibition will be offering an unparalleled business networking with Ghana and the West African pharmaceutical markets.

He noted that delegates for the event are expected from countries across the continent, including Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Benin.
