The Chief Medical Director (CMD), University of Osun Teaching Hospital, Oshogbo, Professor Peter Babatunde Olaitan has urged members of staff of the hospital to embrace attitudinal change in the discharge of their duties and in their encounter with patients and their relations.

Prof. Olaitan also implored all categories of staff of the hospital to be professional and do all that are necessary to ensure that patients are promptly and respectfully attended to, bearing in mind that  anybody can be indisposed, as  no human being, of any status, is above sickness.

The CMD made the call during an interreligious prayer session to start the New Year.
A press release issued on Wednesday January 6, 2021 by the public relations officer of the hospital, Ayodele Adeyemo, quoted the hospital CMD, saying the management of the hospital has instituted a Service Delivery Monitoring Committee to ensure that total quality service is delivered, adding that commendations and sanctions will be appropriately applied as may be necessary from time to time.

While appreciating the Governor of Osun State Gboyega Oyetola for giving attention to requests from the management of the hospital, Professor Olaitan stated that the staff of the hospital should be excited about the recent development which brought about the change in the name of the hospital to Uniosun Teaching Hospital Osogbo, saying it is a good omen.

The Chief Medical Director, in the statement, hoped for more assistance from government and private sector for the hospital’s transformation.

He also sought the cooperation of all members in the new year stressing that his vision for the hospital can only be achieved when there is robust financing from different sources as well as judicious use of resources by the hospital, even as he wished every staff fulfilment of their aspirations for the new year.
