A great relief is coming to Lagos residents as the Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Health, Dr Tunde Ajayi, has revealed that six of the patients at the Infectious Disease Hospital have recovered, and will be discharged.
Ajayi, an Aerospace Health Physician and top consultant among doctors at the IDH, Yaba, disclosed that Lagos is taking the lead among other states in the country handling patients of the #COVID19 as it has discharged two patients earlier.
He revealed via his twitter handle, @thetundeajai, thus: “Tomorrow we’re going to discharge six patients” – @ProfAkinAbayomi
“Six of our #COVID19 inpatients have recovered and will be discharged soon. There is something Lagos is doing right. Lagos takes the lead,” he wrote.
The number of cases of the viral infection in Nigeria is still at 51 as announced Wednesday night, on the NCDC website, with 8 states involved and the FCT.
Out of the 51 cases, two have recovered and discharged with one death.
