COVID-19: Nigeria Records 220 New Cases, 85 Deaths, Total 2388

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 220 new cases of COVID-19 and increase in fatalities from 68 to 85 deaths

With the 220 new cases, Nigeria now has a total of 2388 cases, 385  recoveries, and 85 deaths.

Making the disclosure of the new cases through its Twitter handle, the NCDC said: “As at 11:55pm 2 May 2020, there are 2388 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria, 385 discharged and 85 deaths”.

It also splitted the new cases into states of occurrence as follows : 62-Lagos, 52-FCT, 31-Kaduna,13-Sokoto,10-Kebbi, 9-Yobe, 6-Borno, 5-Edo, 5-Bauchi, 4-Gombe, 4-Enugu, 4-Oyo, 3-Zamfara, 2-Nasarawa, 2-Osun, 2-Ebonyi, 2-Kwara
2-Kano, and 2-Plateau.
