COVID: UAE Records 3,579 New Cases, 9 Deaths

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in the United Arab Emirate has disclosed that it has recorded 3,579 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number to 277,955. It also announced 9 deaths as a result of complications bringing the total number of deaths to 792.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 4,166 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 251,484. MoHAP announced 3,579 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 277,955.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, the ministry has announced that it conducted 179,117 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

It also added that an additional 4,166 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 251,484.

According to the ministry, there is the urgent need to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

In order to ensure strict adherence to its intensified testing campaign, the ministry has said it conducted 179,117 additional COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours, deploying the best testing equipment.

Confirmed reports indicate that the infected individuals are persons of different nationalities and are in a stable condition, receiving the necessary care. The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It also called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and observe physical distancing to ensure the health and safety of all.
