In what many have described as a landslide victory, Pharm. Daniel Eze emerged winner of the 2020 Pharmanews Young Pharmacist of the Year Online Poll, having polled a total of 1398 votes to defeat the first runner up Ikwaibom Umoiyoho, with 728 votes.

The online poll, which ended Thursday at 12 noon had other contestants as Kenneth Bitrus David, Chuka Amukamara and  Timothy Olusanya polled 119, 114 and 66 respectively.

The management of Pharmanews Ltd wishes to use this medium to appreciate all contestants and voters for participating in this online poll.

While congratulating Eze and his team for winning the contest, Pharmanews management is urging others to distinguish themselves more in healthcare innovation, as opportunity abounds to emerge winner in the future.

Please note that the award presentation ceremony for the winner comes up next year on a date that will be communicated to the winner in due course.

It will be recalled that Pharmanews commenced the Young Pharmacist Online Poll in 2018 with Pharm. Isah Muhammad as the winner of the maiden edition, Frank Eze, winner of the 2019 poll, then Daniel Eze as the 2020 Young Pharmacist of the Year.
