Ebong Emerges Winner, Pharmanews Young Pharmacist of the Year 2023

Pharm. Uwem. O. Ebong, has won the Pharmanews Young Pharmacist of the Year Online Poll 2023, with a total of 1102 votes to win against the first runner-up, Pharm. Shadrach Nzomisaki With 970 votes.

The virtual contest, which ended Thursday, 30 November, 2023, had other contestants of Pharm. Goodness Nmesoma Ohakwe with 445 votes; Pharm. Tekena George with 251 votes: and Pharm. Peter Fiyebo Ebiwei, with 116 votes.

In his usual practice, the Pharmanews Publisher, Pharm. (Sir) Ifeanyi Atueyi, has congratulated the winner for emerging victorious in the intensely contested online poll. He assured others of the possibility of winning in the nearest future, if they persevere in initiating innovative healthcare solutions, targeted at addressing human needs.

While the award presentation ceremony comes up on a date to be communicated to the winner, the first and second runners- up, will also be sent consolation prizes in due time.

Pharmanews commenced the Young Pharmacist Online Poll in 2018 with Pharm. Isah Muhammad as the winner of the maiden edition; Pharm. Frank Eze, won the 2019 contest; Pharm. Daniel Eze, was 2020 winner; Pharm. Ozioma Ezeofor clinched the 2022 Award, and Pharm. Ebong is the latest champion.
