FG Reappoints Faruk Abubakar as Nursing Council Registrar The Federal Government of Nigeria has reappointed Alh. Faruk Umar Abubakar as the Secretary-General/Registrar, Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria, NCMN for a second and final term of four (4) years.

The reappointment, held at the Office of the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire on Tuesday, 15 September, 2020 with the Permanent Secretary, Health, Mr Marshi Abdullahi in attendance .

In a press statement signed by Olujimi Oyetomi,
director, Information, Media & Public Relations; it was noted that a formal presentation of the letter of reappointment was done by Ehanire.

Abubakar acknowledged his reappointment as the Secretary-General/Registrar, Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria at Ehanire’s office.

Oyetomi said a copy of the reappointment letter cited indicated that the reappointment was made “in recognition of the achievements recorded during your (his) tenure” and that the terms and condition of the appointment “are subject to the provisions of the enabling Act establishing the Board and/or as may be prescribed by Government.”

Conveying his congratulatory message to the Registrar, Ehanire tasked him to “improve on the gains so far recorded at the Council towards achieving the mandate of efficient regulatory functions.”
