Former PSN boss, Yakasai Buries Mother In Kano

The former President, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) and Consul-General of Pakistan in Nigeria, Pharm. Ahmed Yakasai, has buried his late mother, Hajiya Asma’u Yakasai, at the Kano Farm Centre Graveyard, Kano State.

Amidst wailing family members and well-wishers at the funeral prayers held at the premises of Kano Emirate Palace, hundreds of sympathizers including the Emir of Kano, Alh Aminu Ado Bayero, and other high-ranking traditional chiefs were  attendance.

Also, at the funeral, obsequies were retired and serving top public servants, ulamas, friends, close associates, and a cross-section of the business community.

According to a release by the family, Hajiya Asma’u Yakasai died at the age of 98 on Tuesday 4, September 2022, at her residence abode after a protracted illness and she is survived by five children, grandchildren, and many relatives.

Among her surviving chichild are  Alh. Sani Ibrahim; Alh. Kabiru Ibrahim; Alh. Mustapha Ibrahim; Alh. Ahmed Ibrahim and Hajiya Binta Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, people from all walks of life shortly after burial started trooping to the family residence of the deceased at Babbar Kofar-Gyanawa, Yakasai Qtrs, near Jalli Mosque, Kano Municipality to express their condolences to the bereaved families.
