The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Kwara State Branch, has strengthened its community health advocacy through a strategic collaboration with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Kwara Branch, during the maiden “Meet and Greet” held at the High Court premises in Ilorin.

The event, themed “Celebrating Women: Building Connections,” provided female legal practitioners an opportunity to network while benefiting from free medical checks offered by the ACPN Kwara team.

Speaking on the significance of the partnership, Pharm. Munirat Kikelomo Bello, Chairperson, ACPN Kwara, described the collaboration as a timely step toward improving the health consciousness of women in the legal profession.

Pharm. Bello emphasised that regular health screening is vital to helping women in law maintain peak performance. “A healthy lawyer is a wealthy lawyer. When women take their health seriously, they protect their careers, their families, and the justice system they serve,” she said.

She also encouraged participants to embrace preventive healthcare, highlighting a wellness guide of 10 percent rest, 10 percent exercise, and 80 percent diet.

“Every legally registered community pharmacy around you should be your first point of call for your medical needs. We are accessible, trained, and ready to support you,” she added.

The maiden Meet and Greet signals a new phase of cooperation between legal and health professionals in Kwara State, with expectations of more joint programmes focused on women’s health and empowerment.
