Lagos Discharges 33 COVID-19 Patients, Ekiti Discharges 5

The Lagos State Ministry of Health, LSMOH, has made a disclosure of 33 recoveries from its Onikan & Eti-Osa (LandMark) Isolation centres, making a total of 502 discharged patients in the state since the outbreak of the disease.

In the same vein, Ekiti State Government also discharged 5 Coronavirus patients on Monday, as it unveiled plans to expand its Isolation centre to a 100-bed space capacity.

The LSMOH further revealed some peculiarities of the patients, describing them as 9 females and 24 males, 17 from Onikan and 16 from Eti-Osa centres.

It tweeted: “#COVID19Lagos patients; 9 females & 24 males; all Nigerians have been discharged from our Isolation facilities at Onikan & Eti-Osa (LandMark) reunite with the Society.

“The patients; 17 from Onikan & 16 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) Isolation centres have fully recovered & tested negative twice consecutively to #COVID19.

“With this, the number of patients successfully managed & discharged in Lagos has risen to 502”.

Speaking on the Ekiti State update, the state Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Mojisola Yahaya Kolade said, “we are discharging 5 patients today out of the 10 active cases, the discharged patients have are healthy now, they have tested negative of Coronavirus”.

She said with this development, Ekiti has 15 confirmed cases, 9 discharged,1 death, and five active cases.
