A report of COVID-19 cases in Lagos as recorded by the Lagos State Ministry of Health since the outbreak of the disease in the state, showed that Lagos Mainland has accounted for the highest number of infections in the state, with 541 cases.
The report disclosed on Twitter by the Ministry, on Friday, further revealed that Eti-Osa was the next after Mainland with 200 infections, while Mushin accounted for 138 cases.
Others are: Ikeja – 73, Alimosho – 69, Kosofe – 59, Apapa 55, Shomolu – 40, Amuwo Odofin – 35, and Oshodi/Isolo – 34.
The list also included Surulere – 31, Lagos Island – 30, Ibeju Lekki – 26, Afejoromi/Ifelodun – 18, Ikorodu 18, Agege – 13, Ifako/Ijaye – 12, Epe – 8, Badagry 5, and Ojo 4.
Lagos, which is the epicentre of COVID-19 in the country, has recorded a total of 1,764 cases out of the total virus figures of 4151 announced on Saturday night by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The state’s ministry of health also shared a graphical representation of the infections recorded across the LGAs in the state between April 7 and May 7, 2020, on Twitter, as displayed above.
