Nigerian media guru and founder of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi Snr has tested negative for COVID-19 and has been discharged.
Dokpesi Snr was found to have tested positive for the virus on 1 May alongside seven other members of his household.
He was discharged from the isolation centre at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.
According to him in a letter he personally authored, he asid he was exceptionally indebted to God Almighty for keeping and protecting him and his entire family all through the isolation at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada Isolation Centre.
Continuing, “We are better acquainted with the personal sacrifices many Nigerians are making to ensure that we collectively defeat this pandemic. This cuts across the policymakers, the care providers and even the cleaners, whose job puts them at constant risk of exposure.”
His positive status was announced three days after his son and Chairman of the board of DAAR Communications, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr tested positive for the virus.
Dokpesi was discharged with two of his grandchildren, while the test results of others are being expected.
