The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has just announced 120 new Coronavirus cases.
On the 5th of October 2020, 120 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria, having carried out a total daily test of 962 samples across the country.
To date, 59,465 cases have been confirmed, 50,951 cases have been discharged and 1,113 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. A total of 536,695 tests have been carried out as of October 5th, 2020 compared to 535,733 tests a day earlier.

According to the NCDC, the 120 new cases were reported from 13 states- Rivers (65), FCT (12), Ogun (9), Katsina (8), Anambra (7), Bauchi (5), Oyo (5), Nasarawa (3), Kaduna (2), Kwara (1), Taraba (1), Imo (1), Delta (1).
Meanwhile, the latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 19,651, followed by Abuja (5,758), Plateau (3,497), Oyo (3,273), Edo (2,631), Rivers (2,582), Kaduna (2,446), Ogun (1,892), Delta (1,803), Kano (1,738), Ondo (1,635), Enugu (1,289), Kwara (1,045), Ebonyi (1,042), Abia (898), Katsina (892), Gombe (883). Osun (847), Borno (745), and Bauchi (704).
Imo State has recorded 577 cases, Benue (481), Nasarawa (455), Bayelsa (401), Jigawa (325), Ekiti (322), Akwa Ibom (293), Niger (259), Adamawa (248), Anambra (245), Sokoto (162), Taraba (106), Kebbi (93), Cross River (87), Zamfara (79), Yobe (76), while Kogi state has recorded 5 cases only.
