Nigeria Records 313 New Cases of COVID-19, 226 Deaths, Total 7,839

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has just announced 313 new cases of COVID-19 and increase in deaths from 221 to 226 deaths.

With the 313 new cases, Nigeria now has a total of 7,839 cases, 2263 recoveries, and 226 deaths.

Making the disclosure via its Twitter handle, the NCDC said: “As at 11:30pm 24th May 2020, there are 7,839 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria”.

It also splitted the 313 new cases into states of occurrence as follows:

148-Lagos, 36-FCT, 27-Rivers, 19-Edo, 13-Kano, 12-Ogun, 11-Ebonyi, 8-Nasarawa, 8-Delta, 7-Oyo, 6- Plateau, 5-Kaduna, 4-Kwara, 3-Akwa Ibom, 3-Bayelsa, 2-Niger, 1-Anambra.
