Nigeria Records 594 New COVID-19 Cases, Toll now 22,614, 549 Fatalities –NCDC

The spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria touched a new milestone as the latest statistics provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reveal Nigeria now has 22,614 confirmed cases.

On the 25th of June 2020, 594 new confirmed cases and 7 deaths were recorded in Nigeria, having carried out a total daily test of 2,047 samples across the country.

To date, 22,614 cases have been confirmed, 7,822 cases have been discharged and 549 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory. A total of 122,155 tests have been carried out as of June 25th, 2020 compared to 120,108 tests a day earlier.

According to the NCDC, the 594 new cases were reported from 22 states- Lagos (159), Delta (106), Ondo (44), FCT (34), Edo (34), Oyo (33), Kaduna (33) Enugu (28), Katsina (25), Imo (22), Adamawa (15), Ogun (12), Osun (11), Abia (8), Rivers (6), Nasarawa (5), Bauch (5), Niger (5), kebbi (4), Ekiti (3), Plateau (1), Taraba (1).

Meanwhile, the latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 9,482, followed by Abuja (1,656), Kano (1,191), Oyo (1,188), Rivers (936),  Edo (851), Ogun (733), Delta (715), Kaduna (668), Bauchi (493), Gombe (482), Borno (477), Katsina (459), Jigawa (317), Plateau (294), Abia (288), Imo (269).
