Nigeria has recorded 664 new cases of COVID-19, with Lagos and Federal Capital Territory taking the lead with 224 and 105 new infections respectively.
With this new 664 cases recorded from 18 states, the country’s total tally is put at 31987.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC in a tweet, 15 new deaths were recorded on Saturday, which makes a total.of 724 fatalities confirmed so far since the outbreak of the infection in the country.
The health agency disclosed that 13103 patients have recovered fully and have been discharged to their various homes.
The agency stater : “Till date, 31987 cases have been confirmed, 13103 cases have been discharged and 724 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory”.
Aside Lagos and FCT, the remaining 16 states with new records of infections are :Edo(85), Ondo(64), Kaduna(32), Imo(27), Osun(19), Plateau(17), Oyo(17), Ogun(17), Rivers(14), Delta(11), Adamawa(10), Enugu(7), Nassarawa (6), Gombe(3), Abia(3), Ekiti(3).
