, having carried out a total daily test of 2,090 samples across the country.

To date, 63,036 cases have been confirmed, 59,328 cases have been discharged and 1,147 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. A total of 627,600 tests have been carried out as of November 2nd, 2020 compared to 625,510 tests a day earlier.

According to the NCDC, the 72 new cases were reported from 9 states- Lagos (51), FCT (6), Ogun (4), Kaduna (3), Niger (2), Ondo (2), Plateau (2), Katsina (1), Oyo (1).

Meanwhile, the latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 21,338, followed by Abuja (6,124), Plateau (3,652), Oyo (3,452), Rivers (2,831), Edo (2,666), Kaduna (2,658), Ogun (2,051), Delta (1,814), Kano (1,747), Ondo (1,669), Enugu (1,314),  Kwara (1,069), Ebonyi (1,049), Katsina (953), Gombe (937). Osun (929), Abia (898),  Borno (745), and Bauchi (713).
