The 7th Anniversary of the Nigeria Sales Conference took place on Saturday, 6 December, 2025, at Welcome Centre Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos, drawing an impressive crowd of more than 2,000 sales professionals, entrepreneurs and business leaders from across Nigeria and Ghana. With the theme “Selling to Lead”, the conference reinforced its growing reputation as one of the most influential gatherings dedicated to sales excellence, leadership development and professional growth in West Africa.
This year’s edition featured a lineup of distinguished speakers, each delivering insights aligned with the theme. Dr Uche Ogah, President of Masters Energy Group, opened with a stirring presentation on “Selling to Lead”, setting the tone for a day anchored on strategic thinking and intentional leadership. He was followed by Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, founding president of Neimeth Pharma Plc, who explored “The Path to Excellence”, drawing from decades of top-tier corporate experience.
Engr Charles Aladewolu, chairman of TECO Group, engaged the audience with his session on “Secrets to Success”, weaving together personal stories and business lessons. Pharm Patrick Ajah, managing director of May & Baker Nigeria Plc, delivered a practical and relatable talk on “Building a Successful Brand” which resonated strongly with participants seeking to scale their businesses.
Bitrus Danharbi Chinoko, director general of the Centre for Management Development, stressed the importance of continuous learning in his session titled “Leading through Learning”. In a session that blended creativity with business psychology, Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Mimi Orjiekwe spoke on “The Silent Salesman”, emphasising the subtle but powerful role of personal presentation and customer perception.
Technology and innovation took centre stage as startup coach Edward Esene discussed “Driving Sales and Revenue Growth through AI and Automation”. His session was complemented by management consultant Ayo Emakhiohe’s perspective on “Agentic AI and its Potential Impact on Nigerian Firms”, offering participants a forward-looking view of the future of sales.

Throughout the event, speakers unanimously commended The Selling Champion Consulting Ltd, led by Managing Director George O. Emetuche and Executive Director Maureen Emetuche, for organising a conference of such scale, quality and logistical precision.
A key highlight of the conference was the conferment of The Father of Sales award on Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa. The organising committee described the honour as a celebration of a man whose rise from medical sales representative to CEO of Pfizer, and later a driving force behind the company’s transformation into Neimeth Pharma Plc, remains a benchmark in Nigeria’s corporate history.
Another major recognition was the Salesman of the Year award, which went to Kazie Eke of Alpha Pharma Group. Eke surpassed his sales target by more than 200 percent, earning applause from industry colleagues who praised his discipline and resilience. The award, organisers said, aims to celebrate excellence and inspire professionals across sectors.
The conference received support from leading brands including Konga Group, May & Baker Nigeria Plc, Alpha Pharmacy, Topwidecare Cosmetics, Geneith Pharma, Finlab Group, Emzor Pharma, the Centre for Management Development, Reals Pharma, New Heights Pharma and Jireh Technologies.
In closing, convener George Emetuche reaffirmed that the Nigeria Sales Conference is designed as a platform for capability development, networking and product promotion. He noted that the conference remains free to attend as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility. He also announced that the 2026 edition will be held on Saturday, 5 December, 2026.
