Nigeria’s COVID-19 Infections HitNigeria’s COVID-19 Infections HitNigeria has recorded a cumulative tally of 43,151 COVID-19 cases since the outbreak of the deadly respiratory infection in the country.

This was revealed as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC announced 462 confirmed new infections and one death on Friday.

The agency also disclosed that a total of 19,565 cases have been discharged while 879 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The NCDC update on COVID-19 announced via its verified Twitter handle took a new diamension as the FCT has taken over the daily lead from Lagos, the epicentre of the infection two days on with the FCT leading with 93 cases, followed by Lagos 78, Plateau – 64, Kaduna -54, Oyo -47, Ondo-32, Adamawa -23, and Bauchi-19.

Others among the 16 states that responsible for the new cases are Rivers, Ogun, and Delta with 9 cases respectively, the Edo -7,Kano- 6, Enugu-6, Nasarawa-5 and Osun-1.
