Prof. Martins Emeje

Professor Martins Emeje, the Director-General of the Nigerian Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA), has been honoured for his 365 days of service.

In appreciation of his commitment to the institute for the past one year, friends and associates from many backgrounds, including staff members, convened at the institution to discuss his sportsmanship.

The DG, taken aback, thanked everyone for thinking it appropriate to honour him in his reply.

Nonetheless, he praised President Bola Tinubu's administration for its insistence on performance-based compensation, stating that this is the agency's hallmark.

The agency, according to Emeje, is about to start using airplanes for its operations, he therefore instructed the employees to fasten their seat belts.

He said : “I want to sincerely appreciate you all for deeming it fit to celebrate the office as it clocks a year today.

“I am using this opportunity to tell you all to tighten your seat belt as the agency is about to transition to flying in its activities.

“It is important to note that the agency will begin to do more field activities as the next 365 days commence.

“It is also imperative to laud the administration of President Bola Tinubu for insisting on performance-based salary, which is what we have been doing”.
