The 44th Annual National Conference of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS), tagged “Harmony 2019” with the theme, “Pharmaceutical care: An evolutionary trend in global pharmacy practice”, commenced Monday 16 September 2019, at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria.
The conference was made quite glamorous with the presence of notable personalities that graced the opening ceremony including Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal ably represented by the Dr Muhammad Ali Inname, (Mutawallen Binji) commissioner, Sokoto State Ministry of Health; the host, Vice- Chancellor Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Lawal Suleman Bilbis, also the President, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Pharm. Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, and Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Dr M. I. Abdullahi.
Also in attendance was the chairman of the opening ceremony, Professor Magaji Garba; and the Dean Student Affairs, Prof. Aminu Mode, equally made the event remarkable.
The Pharmacy students equally turned out for the conference en masse, which gave the event the needed ovation.
