While speaking at the event, the Editorial Board Chairman of Business Times, Mr Dada Ajai-Ikhile, stated that the award was bestowed on the companies as a way of encouraging them to keep doing what they have been doing and even do more.

According to him, Business Times is a specialised paper for readers, policy makers and entrepreneurs, who want deeper insight into business related issues. He said “It has become imperative to provide Nigerians, especially the business community, the opportunity of having fresh perspectives to business news. Business Times is not to compete with existing news outlets, but fill a noticeable void in the sector.

In his remark at the event, Sir Atueyi commended the editorial board of Business Times for recognising the impacts that Pharmanews has been making, noting that the award which coincided with the 45th Anniversary of Pharmanews was well appreciated.

“We have published every month without interruption for 45 years with high quality. This is why we appreciate Business Times for this award for recognising our impact in the health community. Pharmanews is an ethical publication. We don’t publicise ourselves to the general public, however, this award is special to us because we have been recognised outside the health sector”,Atueyi said.

The high point of the event was the launching of Business Times by Sir Atueyi. While formally launching the publication, he commended the editorial board of the publication for their creativity that gave birth to the idea of the publication. He also wished the team huge success.
