Noel Donjur, the Chief of Staff to Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, has tested negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The information was contained in a press statement issued Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dan Manjang.
Donjour, who had since gone into isolation since he tested positive to the virus on 3 July, according to the laid down rules by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has been confirmed negative, Manjang said.
The commissioner however noted that the news of the Chief of Staff’s recovery came in the early hours of today.
He said Donjur remained asymptomatic throughout the period of his treatment.
Following the development, the state government has wished the Chief of Staff sustainable good health, while thanking God for his recovery.
The government of Plateau State has asked workers to make themselves available for COVID-19 tests, while warning residents to desist from stigmatizing persons infected by the virus.
