The Randle General Hospital in Lagos State has unveiled a state-of-the-art Accident and Emergency (A&E) Ward with assistance from the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
The unveiling, which took place on Monday, according to the hospital management, was to improve the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within Surulere and vicinity.
The Speaker, who commissioned and toured the facility, commended the hospital’s administration for her readiness to provide high-quality healthcare and for rising to the challenge.
Gbajabiamila stated that the people of Surulere deserve better and higher-quality medical care and that the hospital’s A&E ward’s renovation into an ultramodern facility is a blatant example of the government’s commitment to delivering such services.
Speaking at the event, Dr Olumide Sojinrin, Medical Director of Randle General Hospital, praised the Federal House of Representatives Speaker for bringing democracy’s benefits to his Surulere district. He noted that Nigeria would be a better nation if like-minded people decided to give back in some ways to their district to help the weak and vulnerable masses.
He said: “Let me commend first and foremost the Speaker for facilitating the new ward. You all would agree with me that Nigeria will be better if everyone emulates Dr Gbajabiamila’s gesture and help his/her community in one way or the other.
