Professionals in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sales and marketing sector will gather for an industry-focused webinar aimed at examining how the country’s evolving fiscal and economic policies are shaping business performance within the sector.

The event, organised by the Society for Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing of Nigeria (SPSMN), is titled “Tax, Profit and Performance: Navigating Nigeria’s New Fiscal Landscape for Pharma Sales and Marketing Professionals.” It is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 18 March, 2026, at 11:00 a.m, with the link to join here.

According to the organisers, the webinar forms part of SPSMN’s 2026 Economic and Business Environment Review, an initiative designed to help professionals in the pharmaceutical industry better understand economic trends and policy developments affecting their work.

The session is expected to bring together pharmaceutical executives, tax experts, business leaders and industry stakeholders to discuss the implications of Nigeria’s changing fiscal policies for pharmaceutical business operations, sales performance and profitability.

Industry analysts note that the pharmaceutical sector operates within a complex regulatory and economic environment where fiscal decisions can significantly influence drug pricing, distribution margins, marketing strategies and sales force incentives. Recent economic adjustments and tax policy considerations, observers say, are increasingly shaping how pharmaceutical companies plan their commercial strategies.

The webinar will feature Mr Peter Nwofia, partner and regulatory services lead at a leading tax advisory firm, who will deliver expert insights on the implications of Nigeria’s evolving tax framework for pharmaceutical companies and professionals working in sales and marketing.

Speaking ahead of the webinar, the President of SPSMN, Pharm. Tunde Oyeniran, emphasised the importance of equipping pharmaceutical sales and marketing professionals with the knowledge required to navigate Nigeria’s changing economic environment.

According to him, understanding fiscal policy is increasingly becoming a strategic competency for professionals responsible for driving business growth in the pharmaceutical industry.
