In a strategic effort to strengthen pharmaceutical distribution and expand access to quality medicines in Nigeria, Troop Pharmaceuticals has partnered with New Heights Pharma Ltd for the nationwide distribution of its flagship product, Troop-C™.
The agreement, formalised on 1 April, 2026, at the indoor hall of New Heights Pharma Ltd, appoints NHP Healthcare, a subsidiary of the company, as the exclusive distributor of Troop-C™ across the country.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director/CEO of New Heights Pharma Ltd and Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and Distributors Association of Nigeria (PWDAN), Pharm. Ogheneochuko Omaruaye, described the partnership as a major boost for the availability of trusted, locally manufactured medicines.
He underscored the enduring relevance of Troop-C™, noting that its resilience over the years reflects strong consumer confidence and product quality.
“This is a product that has been available for over 20 years and has survived various economic downturns. That speaks to the strength of the product. With the distribution capacity we have built, we are confident of taking it to the nooks and crannies of the country,” he said.

Omaruaye further noted that the collaboration reflects a practical response to longstanding distribution challenges within Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector.
“Distribution in Nigeria is capital intensive. Through collaboration, we are able to pool resources, reduce costs, and allow each party to focus on its core strengths. This ultimately benefits the end users,” he added.
On her part, the Managing Director of Troop Pharmaceuticals, Prof. (Pharm.) Chizomam Emeje, said the partnership aligns with efforts to promote a more structured and efficient drug distribution system in the country.
She raised concerns over the continued circulation of counterfeit medicines, stressing that stronger distribution frameworks remain critical to safeguarding public health.
Emeje expressed optimism that the collaboration would significantly widen access to Troop-C™, particularly in underserved areas, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
She added that Troop-C™ tablets, available in 100mg strength and packaged in 100-tablet packs, can be chewed or swallowed, offering flexibility and ease of use for consumers.
Also speaking, Mr Simon Emmanuel, emphasised the critical role of logistics in securing the pharmaceutical supply chain.
According to him, efficient logistics systems are essential to ensuring the seamless movement of medicines from manufacturers to end users, thereby improving access and preserving product integrity nationwide.
