Dr  Bello Kabir, the state team leader of MCGL, said that the focus on adolescent girls was to protect IDPs from contagious diseases.

He emphasized, At MCGL, our main target is adolescent children, one of the most vulnerable groups experiencing violence in the society. Today, we carefully selected adolescent girls from this IDP camp to support them in maintaining proper hygiene,” he stated.

Bello Gwadabawa, chairman of the Coalition of NGOs in Sokoto state, highlighted that the gesture was part of the activities of the 2023 16-Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the state.
