Dr Femi Olaleye, managing director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation has been sentenced to life imprisonment by an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court, for violating his wife’s niece.
Justice Rahman Oshodi on Tuesday held that prosecution proved charges of defilement and sexual assault by penetration against Olaleye beyond reasonable doubt.
The judge found Olaleye guilty of two-count charge of defiling a 15-year old minor and sexual assault by penetration.
He ruled that the defendant should serve life imprisonment for both offences concurrently.
The judge held that the evidences against the medical director were compelling, stating that Olaleye’s confessional statement and exchange of WhatsApp and email messages with his wife were enough evidence against him.
Justice Oshodi also ruled that the statement and undertaking he wrote and signed alongside his lawyer, Olalekan Buruji with his NBA seal at Anthony Police Station, showed he raped the victim and forced her to suck his manhood.
