-As FG Orders Public Servants to Stay at Home
As at 11:00pm on Monday, 23 March, there are 40 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria, with 3 new cases in Lagos and one in FCT, making a total of 40 cases.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control disclosed via its website that “four new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria, 3 are in Lagos State and 1 in FCT”.
The agency explained that two of these cases are returning travellers, while the remaining two are probably local cases.
As cases of the viral infection surges in the country, citizens have been advised to practice social distancing and work from home, as the federal government has directed all public servants across the federation to stay at home effective from 24 March to prevent the further spread of the disease.
