–Receives donation from Rotary International
The Enugu State University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital (ESUTH) has pleaded for help as the COVID-19 situation in the state is becoming overwhelming.
The Director of Administration of the institution, Nick Ozioko called on well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to come to its aid as the fight against the Coronavirus should not be left for government alone.
While receiving donated COVID-19 materials from the Rotary International District 9142, Enugu, Ozioko said, “We are very grateful to Rotary Club. Without the support Rotary has given us today, it will be difficult for the hospital alone to handle it.
“The COVID-19 situation is so overwhelming for the hospital alone, so I am calling on individuals, corporate bodies like Rotary to come to our aid, we need their support to wage this war and then come out victorious”.
The Assistant Governor, Zone 15 of the club, Chinwe Ejim, had earlier stated that the donation was the club’s contribution towards ensuring medical workers were safe while working during the COVID-19 period.
