Edo Former Commissioner Dies of COVID-19 Complications

Comrade Didi Adodo, Edo State former Commissioner for Establishment, Labour and Special Duties has reportedly died Tuesday morning of COVID-19 related condition.

While early reports have it that he died of a yet to be disclosed ailment, family sources said he died of COVID-19 complications, after battling with the infection for about five days.

Prior to his death, the frontline labour leader was the General Secretary of Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN). He was also a former General Secretary of the United Labour Congress (ULC).

Information on his Facebook page reveals that Adodo hails from Iruekpen, Esan West Local Government Area of the State, attended Holy Trinity Grammar School, Sabongidda-Ora and graduated in 1979.

He also attended University of Benin (UNIBEN) where he graduated in 1986.

He was married with children.
