Famasi Africa has announced the launch of Dispensary Storefront today, 18 December, 2025, a feature that helps pharmacies turn their existing inventory into 24/7 revenue, while reaching patients who can’t make it to the physical store.
Dispensary Storefront connects directly to the Dispensary app pharmacies already use, giving them an online presence that requires no separate tools, no dedicated tech staff, and no learning curve. It affords pharmacies the opportunity to serve patients requesting home delivery, working odd hours, or living far from the store, all managed from the same dashboard they use for walk-in customers.
“Our pharmacies told us they’re losing money to expired stock while missing sales from patients who can’t visit during operating hours,” said Odeyemi Mubarak, product marketing manager at Famasi. “They also said hiring someone to manage online orders or learning a new system wasn’t realistic given their budgets and workload. Storefront solves both problems. It extends their reach and helps move inventory faster, using the same app they’re already working in daily.”
With Dispensary Storefront, Mubarak said each pharmacy gets an additional revenue channel without additional overhead – patients can browse and order 24/7, even when the pharmacy is closed; better inventory turnover – reach customers beyond walk-in traffic to reduce expired stock losses
The Famasi Product Marketing Manager, also disclosed other benefits of the platform saying, patients can be served wherever they are, as delivery and pickup options help those who can’t easily access the physical location
“ Zero extra tools to learn – everything runs through the Dispensary dashboard pharmacies already use for in-store operations; and live catalog synced to inventory, without manual updates or duplicate work across systems”, he stated
In a chat with the Co-Founder and CEO of Famasi Africa, Adeola Ayoola, she expressed delight in the firm’s innovative solution to pharmacies operations, noting the storefront pulls directly from what’s already stocked in Dispensary. When inventory is updated in-store, it reflects online automatically. When an online order comes in, it appears in the same queue as walk-in requests, no switching between platforms or hiring someone to “manage the website.”
“In our pilot, pharmacies loved that this didn’t add to their workload or require a dedicated person,” said Ayoola. “One pharmacist told us she was able to clear slow-moving stock by making it visible to a wider audience online. Another said weekend orders now come in even though the shop is closed. That’s revenue they wouldn’t have captured otherwise, and it required zero changes to how they work.”
For patients, Storefront means medications can meet them wherever they are: at home after work hours, in communities far from the nearest pharmacy, or when mobility is limited. This is especially critical for people managing chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes who need reliable access to refills.
As Famasi expands partnerships with payment providers, logistics companies, and health platforms, pharmacies using Dispensary will be positioned to benefit from these integrations without additional setup.
