With mouth-watering prizes like Ford Escape SUV, LED televisions, inverters, mobile phones, deep freezers and a four-day luxury trip to Dubai, the 11th edition of The Panel promises to be a conference to remember.
In the last 10 editions, The Panel, organised under the aegis of Pharmalliance Network has continued to enjoy rave reviews among young pharmacists, community pharmacists and pharmaceutical giants like HealthPlus, Alpha Pharmacy, Biofem Pharmaceuticals, PharmacyPlus, New Heights, Sylken Pharma and Vanguard Pharmacy.
Speaking with Pharmanews, Pharm Adeshina Opanubi, convener of the programme explained that The Panel is an annual summit aimed at bringing innovation into retail pharmacy business across Africa.
This year, Dr Leo Stan Ekeh, founder of Zinox Group, would give the keynote address titled ‘Disrupt or be disrupted.’
In past edition, some keynote speakers who were privileged to have graced the event included Dr Cosmas Maduka, Founder, Coscharis Group; Mr Fola Adeola, founder, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB); Hakeem Belo-Osagie, First Securities Discount House (FSDH) amongst many other.
Apart from the keynote session, there would also be five clinical masterclasses facilitated by seasoned healthcare professionals led by Prof. Anthonia Ogbera, consultant endocrinologist and provost of LASUCOM.
In addition to trends and shared intelligence that has become the trademark of The Panel, gifts and prizes were also won by participating delegates.
“At The Panel, everyone goes home with a gift, no matter how small. In the past we have given away business books and power banks to every single delegate. This year, courtesy of New Heights Pharmaceuticals, every delegate goes home with a self-use fitness device valued at N10,000.
“In addition, one lucky delegate will return to his pharmacy with a top of the range IQ-142 BP Monitor valued at N80,000. That is not all. Reload Multivitamins is also sponsoring one community pharmacist on a four-day luxury trip to Dubai,” he disclosed.
An excited Opanubi further announced that Naturesfield plans to reward participants with great prizes ranging from LED TVs, inverters, mobile phones, deep freezers and a Ford Escape SUV.
According to him, sponsors for The Panel 2019 programme include Reckitt benckiser, Pfizer, GSK, Molfix, Moxie, Nett Pharmacy, Bydow Pharmacy, Bayer and other sponsors.
When asked on the proposed attendance for the 11th edition, Opanubi who is also the project catalyst for Pharmalliance Network, declared that over 300 delegates have so far registered for the two-day summit scheduled for 6 to 7 August, 2019 at Classique Conference Centre, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
