Pharm. (Mrs) Morounfayo Oluwatoyin Williams is the founder and managing consultant of Simply Exponential Consult Limited. She also doubles as the executive director of Rely Supply Limited, where she stands as a towering figure in the field of occupational health and safety, management consulting, and entrepreneurial leadership.
With a robust educational background including a master’s degree in Pharmacy and numerous prestigious awards, which include being a Merit Award Winner in Pharmacy, she embodies a blend of academic excellence and practical expertise.
Fayo Williams, as she is affectionately known, graduated as a pharmacist in 1982. Her early career laid the foundation of rigorous scientific discipline and a commitment to health and safety, which later transitioned into her roles as an educator and consultant. Her academic pursuits did not stop at Pharmacy; she achieved a NEBOSH IGC in Occupational Health and Safety, and has continually updated her credentials, including certifications as Learning and Development Specialist (LDS), Microsoft Digital Literacy, and Women in Digital Business (WIDB).
As a World Safety Organisation certified CPR instructor, she has developed a unique niche by merging her pharmaceutical training with her passion for safety and emergency preparedness. This specialisation has made her a sought-after expert in first aid, emergency response, and occupational health and safety training.
Williams entrepreneurial spirit is demonstrated by her success in founding and managing two companies, contributing significantly to the occupational health and safety industry. Beyond her business and professional achievements, Williams is deeply involved in community service and advocacy. She has served on the council of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was a pioneer director for the Innovation Support Network Hubs in Nigeria.
The awards and recognitions she has received, such as the World Safety Organisation SAFERR Ambassador, Nigeria Safety Award for Excellence (9ja Commendation Award) and two-time winner of Nigerian Safety and Security Magazine’s Award (2014 and 2018), earned her the appellation “The Safety Amazon”, which underscores her contribution to safety and security in Nigeria.
Williams extends her influence through the media by hosting “Safety Train” on Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1 FM. She also served the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria as anchor of the now rested “Drugs & The Society” TV programme.
Looking forward, Williams continues to focus on expanding her impact through training, consultancy, and advocacy, aiming to foster safer work environments and promote entrepreneurial success across Nigeria and beyond. Her career is a testament to the power of education, hard work, and dedication to professionalism.
