It was a great moment for the National President, Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria Students (PANS) Mubarak Muhammad Altine, meeting the Managing Director, Phamanews Limited, Sir Ifeanyi Atueyi, during his courtesy visit to the Pharmanews corporate head office, Mende, Maryland, Lagos, on Wednesday.
Disclosing his mission to the Pharmanews publisher, Altine said he came to Lagos to seek the support of pharmaceutical companies towards their 44th Annual National Convention of PANS, scheduled to hold in Sokoto State, from 15 to 21 September, 2019, at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
The conference tagged ‘Harmony 2019’ with the theme: “Pharmaceutical Care: The Evolutionary Trend in Global Pharmacy Practice”, he assured all Pharmacy students, that it is going to be a memorable one indeed for them in Sokoto, while he urged all delegates to prepare to get the best from the convention.
Altine further hinted that about 500 students across the country from 15 Pharmacy schools will be in attendance with preparations on top gear to give them the best treat at the conference.
“My message to all Pharmacy students is that this is an opportunity for students across the nation to come together again, because this is the only time in the year we come together as Pharmacy students from all parts of the country to exchange our cultural views in promoting the association. This is an opportunity for those who have not attended any national conference before now to come to Sokoto, as it promises to be a memorable one indeed”, he emphasized.
Appreciating Altine for the courtesy visit, Atueyi expressed his delight with the PANS president for coming all the way from Sokoto to Lagos, in preparation for the PANS National Convention, saying it is a crucial task ahead of him and his team members to make the convention a success.
He also acknowledged that it was a good step in the right direction for Altine to come over to Lagos to seek support from pharmaceutical companies, although he noted that most of the pharmaceutical companies are under pressure presently, but Atueyi assured him that some of the companies will still support the convention, because they are interested and have been supporting students convention in the past.
The Pharmanews boss urged all delegates to make themselves available for the 44th National PANS Convention in Sokoto, as it is the first time the convention will be holding in the state.
While he prayed for the success of the convention, he advised the PANS national executives to use the convention as another avenue to deliberate on crucial matters that will enhance the progress of Pharmacy students.
