- As Rivers PSN elects new executives
The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Rivers State chapter has elected Pharm. Chima Ogbu, as new chairman.
Pharm. Ogbu, a former secretary of the PSN in Rivers State and former national publicity secretary of Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) was elected chairman during the Annual General Meeting of the body held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Tuesday.
Other members of the newly elected executives of the Rivers State PSN were: Pharm. Donatus Ijezie, vice chairman; Pharm. Samuel Ijeomah, assistant secretary general; Pharm. Theresa Oliver, welfare officer; Pharm. Promise Anele, secretary general; Pharm Lekia Princewill, financial treasurer, Pharm. Ugochi Ben-Njoku, treasurer; Pharm. Joseph Ebirim, publicity secretary; Pharm. Chinwe Kemka-Owabie, internal auditor and Pharm, Adewale Oladigbolu, immediate past chairman.
Speaking shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of the new executives, Pharm. Chima Ogbu thanked members of the body for the confidence they have in the new executives and pledged to work with all technical groups of pharmacy, to ensure that pharmacists in the state work together to achieve all their desires.
He also promised that the new executives in the coming days will roll out their action plan, aimed at not only delivering all the campaign promises but to lead the state PSN to greater heights and thanked the outgoing state PSN leadership for doing a good job assuring them that the new executives will build on what have they achieved.
