Pharm. Watson Olojo is the marketing manager, Biomedical Limited. An indigene of Mushin Local Government in Lagos State, he attended Olufunmilayo Nursery & Primary School, Ikeja, and Baptist Academy, Obanikiro, Lagos.
He proceeded to the University of Lagos, Nigeria, where he bagged his Bachelor of Pharmacy in the 1994/95 session.
A diligent Olojo has got 28 years of postgraduate cognate experience from different areas of Pharmacy, including hospital and community pharmacy practice, brand management, as well as sales and business development management within the FMCG, telecoms/ICT and pharmaceutical Industries.
He began his career, as a hospital pharmacist, at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where he did his internship and later proceeded to Dr Gwamna Awan General Hospital, , in Kakuri, Kaduna State for his National Service
Olojo’s passion for marketing took him to Pharma Deko, formerly known as Park-Davies USA, Agbara Ogun State, where he got his first marketing experience as a medical representative. Therafter he functioned in various capacities in business development, distribution chain, brand development and sales management. He played a significant role in the successful market introduction of the Parkalin range of antitussives in replacement of the old Park Davies Benylin range, amongst many others in Nigeria.
Olojo’s wealth of experience in last two decades of his career pursuit have seen him providing leadership and direction in sales administration, policy formulation and Implementation, regulations, compliance and improvement plans. He has been engaging in formulating and actively driving corporate strategies, customer engagement, and development and distribution chain management for the different companies he has worked. His roles at Biomedical include provision of leadership, direction, motivation and support for the sales, business development and marketing teams. He is well-travelled and has attended several management trainings and workshop programmes, largely within Nigeria.
A member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Olojo is a devout Christian. He is married with children and enjoys networking, socialising, swimming and playing football as hobbies.
