Senegal detects first case of Omicron COVID-19 variant

This is obviously not a good season for the Polish as the country, Poland recorded near 800 deaths on Wednesday 29 December.

The Deputy Health Minister of Poland, Waldemar Kraska disclosed this to Reuters on Wednesday.

According to the minister, the record is the highest number in the fourth wave of the pandemic in the country.

He said the figure could be a result of delayed reporting due to the Christmas holidays, adding that more than 75% of those who died were unvaccinated, Waldemar Kraska said.

“I think we are currently experiencing a peak in the number of people who are dying,” he told private television channel Polsat News.
