PWDAN Set to Hold 2nd Conference on Pharma Supply Chain

The Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and Distributors Association of Nigeria (PWDAN), is set to engage stakeholders at its upcoming annual conference and exhibition, holding on 5 and 6 July 2023, at the Marriot Hotel Ikeja, Lagos.

In a press release made available to Pharmanewsonline by the Secretary, PWDAN, Pharm. (Mrs) Laide Soetan, the Chairman of the association, Pharm. Ernest Okafor, stated that the pharmaceutical supply chain presents a recurring challenge for everyone in the Nigerian healthcare sector, hence the need for engagement with the stakeholders.

He said the conference keynote speaker, Pharm. Azuka Okeke, chief executive officer, Africa Resource Center for Excellence in Supply Chain Management, will be speaking on the theme, “Strengthening the pharmaceutical supply chain: Panacea to good distribution practice and medicine security”. He added that a capacity-building session on the “Role of technology in supply chain efficiency and GDP challenges in cold chain logistics”, will hold at the same hotel on 5 July, 2023.

He, however, appealed to prospective participants to prepare to immerse themselves in an unparalleled gathering of top-tier experts, regulators, and visionary policymakers to unravel the intricacies of the pharma supply chain industry, decode its challenges, and reveal the game-changing solutions that will revolutionise the approach to doing business and sustain the integrity of pharma products.
